Protect your right to practice by joining the Georgia Chiropractic Association! Since 1912, GCA has provided a unified voice for doctors of chiropractic across the state to:

• Ensure YOUR right to practice
• Expand the scope of practice
• Address threats from other professions
• Include chiropractic in the Department of Defense health care system

GCA members have forged long-term relationships with both state and national legislators to assure chiropractic continues to grow and thrive in Georgia. U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss has spoken at GCA’s conference, and members maintain good relationships with other national leaders from Georgia such as Sen. Johnny Isakson, Rep. Jack Kingston, Rep. Paul Broun, M.D., Rep. John Lewis and more, by participating in the annual National Chiropractic Legislative Conference.

Through longstanding relationships with local legislators and its political action committee, GCA has successfully lobbied at the state level, resulting in a number of significant victories, including:

• The recent expansion of Georgia’s chiropractic practice act
• The right to refer to other licensed health care professionals and diagnostic services
• The adoption of the standards of the national accrediting agency, the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE)
• The ability for Georgians to select a doctor of chiropractic on par with other physicians in automobile and other liability insurance, private and group insurance and workers' compensation insurance.

The more members GCA represents, the more influence it will have with Georgia’s legislators and the more money it has available to fund lobbying activities. Your membership is key to ensuring GCA has the resources and influence to fight potential threats to your right to practice, as well as expand your scope of practice, as the organization was successful in doing in 2007.
